My first batch was easy and yummy! Yippee! The next time, the machine would not churn. I finally read the rest of these Amazon reviews and found out that I have to move the handle of the cooling cylinder so that it faces me completely. In the process of trying to pour out the ice cream, fix the machine, etc, I ripped out the plastic ring. Yuck. No online manual, hardcopy documentation, or website whatsoever to help. And the recipe book is filled with typos. Doesn't inspire confidence. So I say, read all of these Amazon reviews. They have the operating instructions that aren't listed anywhere else. Then knowing that you have to pay $399, you decide.
